ACT! Tip

Setting Reminders in ACT!

How often have you forgotten or been too busy to backup your database, or compress and reindex your database?  This is a common scenario for many ACT! users, including myself.  ACT! provides a way for you to be alerted to perform these critical tasks.  I have outlined below the steps to be taken to Set Reminders in ACT!

  How to Set Reminders
1.  To set your reminders in ACT!, select File | Set Reminders

2. This will open up a Set Reminders dialog box.  Click the dropdown button to select the task you would like to set a reminder for.   Click OK once you have set all the reminders.

3. Upon opening ACT! on the particular reminder day, you will see a ACT! Reminders box with the appropriate tasks.  Click OK, and ACT! will run through the tasks one at a time.
