Attaching a File to a Contact
 

Have you ever lost a file that you received from one of your clients/prospects?   You downloaded it somewhere, and then forgot where you downloaded it, and were not able to recover the file.  ACT! allows you to attach any file type to any contact.  The result is a more efficient way to retrieve the file relating to a particular contact.  In addition, if you are sharing a database over a network and you attach a shared file, then the other ACT! users will also have access to that attached file.
 

 
  Attaching a File to a Contact

1.  Right click anywhere in the Notes/History section.  Select Attach file from the menu

2. This will open up the attach file dialog box.  Navigate to the directory where the file is located and double click on it.  This will attach the file to that contact's Notes/History section.

3. Once it is in the Notes/History section, you simply double click on the attachment icon on the left to open the attached file.
