Setting Password in ACT!
 

It is very important to keep your ACT! data secure, whether you are a single user setup, or involved in a multi-user ACT! setup.   One way to keep your data secure is to set a password for your login name.  This is especially important for the users with Administrator security rights.  Otherwise, without a password anybody can login as your user name and potentially make database structure changes.
 

 
 

Setting Password

1.  Click on the File menu, and select Set Password

2. This will open up the Set Password dialog box.  If you already have a password and want to change it, type in your current password.  If you do not have a password, leave the Current Password field blank.  Next, fill in your new password, and then confirm it

3. Click OK, and the next time you login to ACT!, you will need to enter with your newly chosen password.
